Ladoga Rough Watercolour Paper Pads are made from 100% natural white cotton of excellent quality and are specially designed for expressive watercolour painting. The rough grain surface has a crisp, bumpy texture that is typical of high-quality handmade-style papers, making it ideal for bold washes, textured effects, and illustrative work.
With a heavy weight of 300 gsm, this paper supports both dry and wet-on-wet techniques, allowing artists to create fine details, multi-layered paintings, and smooth glazes without damaging the surface. The paper is sized internally as well as on the surface, which ensures controlled absorption, easy lifting, and resistance to erasing.
The pad is glued on all four sides to keep the paper flat during painting, eliminating the need for stretching.
