About the Author
Patricio Estay (born in Chile, 1953) was forced into political exile in 1973, seeking refuge in Brazil. During this period he completed projects on a series of social issues, with a special focus on the people living in the Favelas. In 1981, he moved to France where he started a prolific career in photography. His photographs appeared in such publications as Le Figaro Magazine, Libération, as well as Stern and Newsweek.
