Patricio Estay has dedicated six years of his photographic work to various aspects of Tibet. The first part of the book presents glorious black and white photographs of beautiful spiritual images. In contrast, the second part features full-color photographs of the hard, gritty reality of modern-day Tibet.


About the Author


Patricio Estay (born in Chile, 1953) was forced into political exile in 1973, seeking refuge in Brazil. During this period he completed projects on a series of social issues, with a special focus on the people living in the Favelas. In 1981, he moved to France where he started a prolific career in photography. His photographs appeared in such publications as Le Figaro Magazine, Libération, as well as Stern and Newsweek.
