While serving abroad, he has organized Indian film festivals in Mexico city, Santiago in Chile, La Paz in Bolivia, Hong Kong, Damascus (Syria), London, Maputo (Mozambique), Tripoli (Libya), Chicago (USA), Nairobi, and Mombasa in Kenya. He has interviewed Satyajit Ray, Dev Anand, Shyam Benegal, Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan, and Nandita Das. His book, Legends of Indian Cinema, had an introduction by Shyam Benegal and a foreword by David Chute, a Hollywood film critic.
