Part I of this book consists of six chapters dealing with foreign policy, multilateralism and security issues in the ‘new era’. Part II of the book comprises of five chapters and analyses various facets of domestic politics, including the policies and ideology of the CPC, economic reforms, China’s policy in its minority regions and the media. Part III of the book focuses on economic and developmental aspects, including the Chinese economic dream, global supply chain issues, environment, energy and social construction. About the Authors: Madhu Bhalla was a Professor in Chinese Studies at the Department of East Asian Studies, Delhi University. She has an MA and PhD from Queen’s University, Canada. She has held teaching positions at Delhi University, the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi Dr Sanjeev Kumar is a Senior Research Fellow at the Indian Council of World Affairs, New Delhi. He has been a Member and Coordinator of ICWA’s Core Group on China, and a Member of VIF’s China Experts Group.
