The Princeton Catalyst Mini Blades are compact, precision paint shapers designed to give artists enhanced control for fine detailing, sculpting, and texturing. Crafted from flexible, FDA-approved silicone, these mini blades combine the expressive qualities of a palette knife with the comfort and familiarity of a brush-style handle.

Ideal for heavy-bodied paints such as oils, acrylics, and water-miscible oils, Catalyst Mini Blades also perform exceptionally well with encaustics, thanks to their heat-resistant properties. Beyond painting, they can be used with plaster, clay, ceramics, and are even safe for food crafting, including sculpting cake frosting.

The solvent-resistant silicone blades hold and move paint efficiently while remaining incredibly easy to clean. Dried paint simply peels off, or the blade can be rinsed with soap and water. For thorough cleaning, the blade tips detach from the handle and are dishwasher safe, then reattach easily once dry.
